What to Expect When Hiring a Photographer for Your Event in Copenhagen

Organizing an event in Copenhagen from abroad? Hiring a local photographer might feel uncertain – especially if you haven’t worked together before.

Luckely, I have been working with international clients for more than a decade. In this guide I will try to give you a clear overview of what to expect, how I work with international clients, and what makes the process smooth from the first email to the final delivery.

A straightforward collaboration

Most of my international clients find me through search and get in touch without prior connection. That’s completely normal. You don’t need to meet in person or explain everything from scratch.

What you can expect:

  • Clear and timely communication (email, video or phone)

  • A quote based on your brief – with no surprises

  • Flexibility in case the program changes slightly

  • A discreet, professional presence on site

What I need from you

To get started, a simple email with the following is enough:

  • Date, time and location of your event

  • Type of coverage (e.g. keynote, mingling, branding)

  • Intended use of the photos (social media, press, internal, etc.)

  • Any specific people or moments that should be prioritized

From there, I’ll suggest a plan and confirm availability.

What you receive

  • A selection of same-day images if needed for LinkedIn or press

  • Full delivery within 24 hours – often sooner

  • High-resolution and web-optimized versions

  • Files named and structured for easy internal use

All content is delivered via download link.

A few quotes from international clients:

"We had the pleasure of working with Lasse during our three-day internal event for over 100 key leaders, and he was absolutely great to work with. From the start, Lasse was super easy to communicate with—friendly, professional, and always quick to respond. Throughout the event, he managed to capture a wide range of key moments, from candid interactions to more formal highlights, all with a natural and authentic feel. What really stood out was how quickly he delivered the final photos—without compromising on quality!  We’re really happy with the results and would gladly work with him again. Highly recommended!”

I work for a Canadian-based organization that was holding a event in Copenhagen. I was a bit nervous proceeding with a photographer just based off of their website, and not having known or met him in person. Lasse turned out to be a great choice. He as super receptive as I had many, many questions, and he patiently answered them all. We were very happy with his photos, flexibility, and he is overall a great guy to work with. Highly recommend!”

Local knowledge adds value

Working with someone based in Copenhagen means less friction:

  • I know the venues, transport, light conditions and conference rhythms

  • I speak Danish and English fluently

  • I arrive early, know what to expect – and adapt quickly
